I am pleased to desribe my experience as I followed an unconventional path which lead to victory over the disease.Richard Irishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04907852130558712278noreply@blogger.comBlogger4125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3567270917626182183.post-65011644899049822682011-08-15T11:19:00.000-07:002011-08-15T11:19:29.256-07:00How it seems to workI have always been fascinated by how things work......
When using diet to beat cancer it seems that 3 issues are critical:

Stop feeding the cancer. Take note of what a well renowned researcher found out many years ago:

1931/1944 Nobel prize winner- Prof. Otto Warburg said:
“…the prime cause of cancer is the replacement of the respiration of oxygen in normal body cells by a fermentation of sugar..”
Cancer seems to be a sugar feeder. Therefore it is vital to eliminate all sources of refined sugar and refined substances that readily turn into sugar. Basically don't eat anything white - white sugar, white bread, white potatoes or white rice.

Try and eat as many things that are deadly to cancer. This includes many phytochemicals described in the 'beating cancer diet' on this blog. For example ellagic acid in many dark berries or the indoles in cabbage are cancer killers.

Tumors may need to be debulked. This may involve radiation, chemotherapy or surgery or maybe a combination of these.

Richard Irishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04907852130558712278noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3567270917626182183.post-37833618610480625042011-07-05T10:58:00.000-07:002011-07-05T14:01:03.989-07:00Best thing that happenedI never would have thought it possible that I would be able to say that "cancer is one of the best things that ever happened to me".
I should explain as a few things contribute to this comment:

I don't think I would have ever taken eating well seriously if it were not for a cancer diagnosis. I was stopped in my tracks of eating carelessly and eating lots of sugar. Since eating according to the 'beating cancer diet' I have felt so much better in many ways apart from taking care of the cancer. For example I would frequently get indegestion and heartburn and now those ailments are missing.

Soon after my diagnosis early in 2006 a pastor friend reminded me of the words of Jesus Christ when asked why a certain man was born blind - whose fault was it? Jesus replied that it was so in order that the power of God may be demonstrated. I have had the amazing privilege of telling folk that my heavenly Dad deserves all the credit for taking care of 'my' cancer.

It seems that not a week goes by that someone calls who has a person they care for greatly that has just had a cancer diagnosis. Once again it is an honor for me to share what God did in my life for His glory in spite of who I am.

I hope that this blog will serve the purpose of helping some who have received the dreaded diagnosis of cancer.
I also hope that many will realize that there is life after that memorable call and that what Hippocates said in 400BC is true: "Let your food be medicine and your medicine be food."
My experience has been that whole food is the most powerful and effective fighter against cancer!!Richard Irishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04907852130558712278noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3567270917626182183.post-67990435025016340882011-06-24T20:19:00.000-07:002011-06-24T20:19:03.132-07:00BEATING CANCER DIET
These guidelines are not intended to be prescriptive but for information purpose only.
